The origins<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Carniaflex began its operations in a 300 m\u00b2 warehouse in Paluzza, specializing in the handcrafted and manual production of flexible metal tubes for lamps (Flex Department).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carniaflex transitioned from artisanal to industrial production, introducing new hydraulic machinery to automate manufacturing processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

International expansion<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The company continued its growth in foreign markets, strengthening its international presence. The office building was renovated to better accommodate clients and suppliers, and new administrative, technical, and commercial services were introduced. In 1986, the first IBM S36 computer with the first terminal server architecture was implemented, marking the beginning of digitalization. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new facility and production innovation<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A second 1,550 m\u00b2 facility was built adjacent to the first one. The Flex Department was moved to the new location, incorporating pneumatic machinery and advanced automation systems. A new organizational structure and production layout were introduced. The adoption of personal computers began, followed by the implementation of the first LAN network, email, and internet access. New management systems were introduced, integrating servers, PCs, and peripherals on a shared LAN. By 1999, digitalization had become a fundamental part of office and production department operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The old warehouse previously housing the Flex Department was renovated, focusing on energy efficiency, cleanliness, and production layout. In a 700 m\u00b2 area, the first state-of-the-art CNC machines were installed, and a department dedicated to precision mechanical processing for the medical sector was established. Production of dental and orthopedic components began, based on specific customer requests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company obtained ISO 9001 and ISO 46002 certifications (later updated to ISO 13485), ensuring quality and compliance in production processes. The range of components for dental implantology, orthopedics, and traumatology was expanded, and the design of biopsy forceps and minimally invasive surgical instruments began. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carniaflex obtained CE certification for “flexible biopsy forceps and accessories,” allowing the company to market its own medical products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A strong commitment to environmental sustainability was reflected in significant energy-saving measures for both the Flex and Medical facilities, including improvements to building structures and machinery. The Toyota Production System was implemented through the 5S methodology, marking a crucial step toward operational efficiency by optimizing production processes and reducing waste. The medical sector expanded to include vascular infusion and ophthalmic surgical instruments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Energy-saving and efficiency measures continued for both structures and production equipment. The focus on Energy Transition with renewable sources and Sustainability became tangible with significant investments, covering over 35% of energy consumption with its own photovoltaic system and using the remaining part from local hydroelectric sources. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Carniaflex continues its growth with two contiguous production units: one dedicated to Flex and the other fully focused on the Medical sector. The company maintains ISO 9001, 13485, 14001, and 45001 certifications, which serve as solid foundations alongside transparency, sustainability, and social responsibility, embracing an ESG approach. Today, Carniaflex looks to the future with environmental, economic, and social awareness to sustain and develop its manufacturing business. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
